Silver Dollar Saloon Bar - Where Friends Become Regulars

BLIND DRAW FORMAT: 501 / CRICKET / 501 DOUBLE OUT

In a doubles blind draw dart tournament, players are randomly paired to form teams, and the tournament follows a double-elimination format, meaning teams can lose once and still remain in contention. Teams advance through a winner's bracket, with losers moving to a loser's bracket. The final match is between the winner of the winner's bracket and the winner of the loser's bracket, with the winner of the loser's bracket needing to win twice to claim the championship.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

1. Blind Draw:

  • Players individually sign up and pay an entry fee.
  • Once sign-ups are closed, players are randomly paired with a partner      by drawing numbers or similar.
  • This creates teams that will compete together in the tournament.

2. Double Elimination Format:

Teams that win their matches advance to the next round in the winner's bracket.

Teams that lose their matches in the winner's bracket move down to the loser's bracket.

Teams in the winner's bracket have the advantage of only needing to win once to advance, while teams in the loser's bracket need to win twice to advance to the next round.

3. Bracket Progression:

  • Winners move up the winner's bracket to the next round.
  • Losers move down to the loser's bracket.
  • Losers in the loser's bracket are eliminated from the tournament after losing their      second match.

4. Championship:

  • The final match of the tournament is between the winner of the winner's bracket and the winner of the loser's bracket.

The winner of the loser's bracket must win twice against the winner of the winner's bracket to win the championship.
